Michelle Goolsby
The newest addition to the Investment Team, Michelle Goolsby lends broad expertise in corporate development, sustainability, corporate governance, legal compliance, human resources and communications. A seasoned C-level executive with over 20 years’ experience as a trusted advisor to CEOs and Boards of Directors, Ms. Goolsby has continued more than a decade of service at Dean Foods Company as Senior Advisor and Consultant since August 2008. Dallas-based Dean Foods, now the largest processor and distributor of dairy products in the U.S., sells milk and a full range of related products under more than 50 well-known brands and numerous private labels, with over $12.5 billion in sales in 2008. After joining the company in 1998, Ms. Goolsby served as Executive Vice President and Corporate Secretary from July 1998 to January 2008; General Counsel from July 1998 to August 2008; Chief Administrative Officer from August 1999 to August 2008; and Executive Vice President of Development, Sustainability and Corporate Affairs from January to August 2008. From September 1988 to July 1998, Ms. Goolsby held various positions with the law firm of Winstead Sechrest & Minick (now Winstead P.C.) and, earlier, the Trammell Crow Company, a real estate development and investment firm. Ms. Goolsby has been active as a Director of Dean Holding Company and Horizon Organic Holding Corporation. She is Chair of The Organic Center, an Advisory Director for Vitamin Angels, a Founding Member of the Center for Women in Law at the University of Texas School of Law and a Trustee of the Law School Foundation. Ms. Goolsby is also a member of the International Dairy Foods Association, Grocery Manufacturers of America/Food Products Association and the Texas State and American Bar Associations. She has a J.D. and bachelor's degree from the University of Texas.
